This PDRI course offers participants the opportunity to learn best practices in facilitation and using the Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) from the Construction Industry Institute (CII).  The PDRI methodology is used in front end planning to dramatically improve scope definition and achieve substantially improved project cost and schedule performance.  An interactive case study is used to provide participants with first-hand experience in how an effective PDRI session is conducted.  Participants will learn:

  • The PDRI methodology and benefits
  • When to conduct a PDRI session during front end planning
  • Roles, responsibilities and logistics for a successful PDRI session
  • Advanced PDRI facilitation training
  • How to fully utilize findings from a PDRI session

Sandra MacGillivray, PMP, PMI-RMP

Sandra is the Managing Director for Valency Inc., an implementer of best practices from the Construction Industry Institute (CII) that dramatically improve capital project performance. She is a Certified PDRI Facilitator, Registered Education Provider (REP) with the Construction Industry Institute (CII), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and a PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) with over 15 years of project management experience.  Sandra is a past research team member with the Construction Industry Institute on front end planning, risk management and portfolio management. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo and a Master in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
